What is your career personality and other questions
Do you like taking quizzes? I do and recently I have found on the mycareertools.com website a great career quiz that assigns you to one of the 6 career personality groups. There are also suggestions for a career/job that will be the best match for you.
This test is based on Holland codes and it’s really interesting. The career test has just 3 questions, you choose a number of answers and in 5 minutes you know your career personality. According to this test, I am a social type, a helper and one of the suggested jobs was a teacher! Wow, this is what I always wanted to do.
So my first question to you. What is your career personality?
I am a social type.
2. What order do you put on your clothes?
bra, underwear, stand in front of a closet for an extended period of time, then pants/skirt, shirt/sweater, shoes
3. Are you generally on-time, early or late?
I’m never exactly on time. I’m either early, or more frequently, running late.
4. Do you have an organized wallet?
Yes. I love my wallet, which is why I keep it organized, I think. It’s red and matches everything. I keep credit cards, license, and cash in it, and I’m getting much, much better at immediately putting receipts into a ziplock bag I keep at home so they’re all in one place. I used to have a bigger wallet that was utter chaos. Crap everywhere, so I streamlined and it’s working out so far.
4. Do you ask for and/or accept help?
No. I don’t ask for it and I don’t accept it. Bad, bad, bad. Unless of course, it’s like a household chore where I’m yelling at my husband too, for the love of god, help me.
5. What elements would a picture of your typical weekday include?
6:00-6:30 – A long series of hitting the snooze button (see also, “pain in the ass”)
6:30-8:00 – Shower, hair, makeup, clothes, vitamins, make sure purse/bag matches, forget several important items daily, leave for work
8:00-8:20 – Drive to work, dunks for ice coffee
8:30-12:30 – Work, email, IM, socialize
12:30-1:00 – Lunch w/work friends
1:00-4:30 – work, email, IM, read blogs, socialize
4:30-5:00 – drive home
5:00-10:00 – gym, news, pester my husband incessantly, demand attention, (see again, pain in the ass), computer, dinner, tv
10:00-11:00 – shower, brush teeth, read in bed, snuggle, sleep
Because yesterday, I totally scored on maternity wear. Now, I’m not your typical Old Navy shopper. In fact, the only things I’ve ever really bought there are tons of fitted, ribbed tank tops to wear with summer skirts, and lay around the house pajama pants.
However, I flat out refuse to buy any piece of maternity clothing that costs over $100. I’m just not willing to shell out a lot of cash for clothes I’ll be wearing for 7 or so months, with the possible exception of a great pair of jeans, because I’m not fooling myself into thinking that I’ll be back into my own clothes immediately after giving birth to this peanut.
However, yesterday I descended upon Old Navy, a little apprehensive, to search the maternity department, since I cannot continue having a breakdown on poor Mr. Pink every morning before work because all of my pants are too tight. Well, let me tell you, NOTHING at Old Navy cost over $40! I picked up, and am wearing today, these pants.
They’re a little more casual than what I normally wear to work, but I was able to dress them up a bit with a nice shirt and jewelry. I can work khakis! I got them in both colors, and it is such a relief to be able to sit at my desk and work with my pants zipped. Who knew that “hidden elastic waist” would become so appealing?
I felt a little weird, wearing maternity pants when I’m not even 3 months yet – but – the pants are “0 to 6 months” maternity, so I guess I’m not alone in the already-bursting-at-the-seams pregnant crowd.
I also got my hair done and – thank god – the acne seems to be clearing up a bit. This pregnant girlie feels MUCH better today.
